There is no second one. The yarn was bought once, the stitch count lives in her head, and the afternoon it came out of doesn’t repeat.

Where the colours come from

How it happens

She learned at nine, at her grandmother’s kitchen table. No machine and no pattern — she starts in the middle, counts in her head, and undoes a whole afternoon when the shape argues back. Washed, blocked, dried in the sun on the balcony.
